A Must Share Photo

I came across this picture of my brother and I the other day and just had to post it. It's hard to catch a photo of Brandon with his eyes open and this one has me in it too. He looks so grown up and handsome in this photo.

I love you Brandon :)

Missing Sydni

Can you tell by this picture how much I love this little girl? This is my niece Sydni Faith Burge. This picture was taken back in December. She's gotten bigger and cuter since. It's been almost 5 months since we've seen our family in Florida, so the loved ones that we left behind when we moved have been on my mind lately. It was so hard leaving everyone, especially this little girl. It's an amazing thing to know someone from the day they were born. I saw her daily when she first arrived and my visits with her were than never more than a week a part. For Scott and I the thought of not being able to see Sydni all the time was heartbreaking. Scott and I almost moved out of state a year before she was born. Though I am sad that she's no longer a 10 min drive away, I am so thankful for the year that we got to spend with her.

As I sit here missing Sydni and all of our family in Florida, I also have joy and comfort knowing that moving to Utah was not a decision that Scott and I made. We both stepped out in faith and trusted God. Life's not about just living. We can all get so caught up in the busyness from day-to-day. We are all here for a reason and if our focus is on just what is here on earth, we have missed what truly matters.

"God mold me and use me and let me shine for you. I long to know you more and to someday be with you, and I also thank you for all my friends and family that you have blessed me with to get me through each day. I especially pray for Sydni and Brody. Keep them safe and fill their days with joy and happiness and give their parents the strength and wisdom to raise them to be all that you wish for them to be."

A Quick Update

Just wanted to make a quick post since it has been a little while. Not much new is going on with us right now. I've been really busy with my part time job and freelance. I'm working 40 plus hours these days. I will definity enjoy my next slow time. It snowed here in Salt Lake yesterday. Not sure what happened to April showers. I'm sure it will warm up here soon though. Scott is finishing up his first semester of seminary. So needless to say he's pretty busy right now with that and work. We are both looking forward to his summer break.

Unfortunately there is nothing to report on us starting a family. I'm still, after 8 months, waiting for my body to adjust back from being on the pill. I'm feeling a whole lot better though. So hopefully that's a good sign.

To all our family in Florida, we miss you all tons.

Love,
Anne Marie

Scott's New Truck

For those of you who do not know, Scott purchased a new truck a few weeks ago. The Mazda 3 was a great car, but on snowy days it was not safe to drive. We also wanted a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Thanks to our good friend Wayne we were able to purchase a 2007 Dodge Ram. We got a great deal on a truck that I have to admit, I actually like. It's relaxing to drive or just ride in. Abby and Knight have already ridden in it and like it as well. It comes in handy when I'm working in the yard. The dogs want to be outside with me, but I can not trust Abby to listen so I now just let them hangout in the back of the truck while I do yard work. They just love it. Scott picked out the vehicle and I got to pick the color. Check out the pictures below. :)

Gospel Fellowship Easter Service

We had our first public service yesterday and it was just awesome! We thought we may have 20 - 60 guests, but we had over 100! The Holly Spirit was really speaking through our pastor. The message could not have been any better! We are so excited for what God's next plan is for our church!

Gospel Fellowship is blessed with wonderful people committed to serving Christ and each other! I can not even put into words how amazing it is to be involved with what our church is doing. When Scott and I moved here we were searching for a Christian home. God sure has given it to us. We are so thankful.

Hope all of you had a blessed Easter,

Anne Marie

I Finally Started My Own Blog

I've finally done it! I've created my own blog. Scott and I tried to keep one going last year, but failed to keep it up to date. I'm going to try for daily updates, but will be happy to post weekly. So check back here for updates often. :)

So much has changed in our lives over the past two years and there always seems to be great things to share. God is really working in our lives. Scott and I still love UT. After being here for over a year, I am still in awe of this beautiful place He created.

Well, Scott and I have been married 7 years!!! Our plans for our anniversary were made several months ago when our church announced that our first outreach would be March 25th. It was the best way to spend the day..serving Him. Unfortunately Scott came down with bronchitis so could not make it. Scott's upset that he missed out. We've both been so excited about this day for awhile. We handed out DVD's that share the true Gospel to the entire city of Herriman. We had responses the first day! It's so awesome to be apart of what God is doing here in UT!

To all our friends and family in Florida, Illinois we miss you all and hope that you are well. You are in our prays. To our Christian family, we love you all. You are such a blessing to our lives.

More to come...
Anne Marie
