So Much Fun In So Little Time

Friday - We went out on the boat with our friends and I got a chance to wake board for the first time. It was a blast! Can't wait to go again. After our afternoon on the lake we went out to dinner downtown at P.F. Changs and than to a movie. All this made for a long day and a late night. We were home and in bed around 2:30 AM. I think we packed in a little to much that day, but it was tons of fun.

Saturday - Needless to say we got a late start. Scott and I pretty much vegged around the house most of the day, something he is teaching me that it is OK to do now and than. At 8:00 PM we met up with our friends Sarah and Travis who were in town this weekend for a wedding. Have not seen Miss Chloe since she was a new born. Ain't she just cute!

Sunday - Sarah and Travis met us at our church to check it out and to meet our friends. I got a chance to hang with Emma and Chloe in nursery. We than had lunch with our congregation, like we do every Sunday and headed home after to chill a bit. Sarah and Travis than stopped by to visit us at our home. We ended the night by having dinner at Famous Daves. It was so good to catch up with them. We love those two!

I'll try to make another post soon. I hope everyone has a blessed week. :)

Getting Things Done :)

If you know me you know that I am happiest being busy. This weekend I got some stuff done that was way over due.

I finally found the faucets I have been looking for. I just love the look of these. Here is a before and after shot. You can see how how ugly the old ones were. I am happy to say that this was my first attempt at changing faucets. It was not too bad once I got the old stuff off. One done...two to go.

These are my cabinets that I am painting. I finally got the bottom half done! I just love the way it brightens up my kitchen. I am on to the top half. This yard shot may not look impressive, but if you saw it before you would understand. It's amazing what a few plants and mulch will do.

Just a Little Update

This past weekend was very busy.

Sunday we had our first baby dedication at Gospel Fellowship. Our good friends son Hudson is 6 months old and just adorable! After service we had lunch at Brian and Jocelyn's house with almost the entire congregation.

Saturday I left home at 8:30 am and did not return till after 11:00 pm. I went yard saleing with my friend Roanne and then to a birthday party. After the party I spent the rest of the day with Roanne shopping for new greenery for our church. It's so nice to just forget about all the things that need to be done at home and to just spend time with a good friend. Love you Ro!

Friday night we went out with our friends as they street preached. Scott and I handed out tracks and listened. It is such an amazing experience to see the Holy Spirit speaking through someone and to see the obvious signs of "planted seeds". We've gone a couple of times now and it is so much fun! It really reminds us of just how many lost souls are out there. Scott and I spend almost all of our time with our Christian friends, so being out on the streets with people really humbles you. I think sometimes as Christians we can take for granted our salvation, but when we stop and think ,or witness, those who have nothing more to live for than themselves and this world, we are reminded that sharing our faith is more than just a wonderful feeling for ourselves. It's a chance to share the most important message another will hear. A message that, if they except, will give them the greatest gift they will ever receive. It's all about eternal life. Everyone has a chance to have it and sharing how is the greatest thing we can do for another.

Love you all!
